Child of Darkness/Child of Light tells the story of Melanie Heatstar, a young woman born to wizard parents on the mystical world of Odius. Melanie is a natural at magic, and quickly rises through the ranks to become a Protector of Odius, a position tasked with defending the world from all kinds of threats. Along the way, she meets Dekker, a young man who becomes her ally in the fight against evil and darkness.
