Once again, it's time for one of Bohemian Lake's Gas Lamp Literary Tours. The Bohemian Book Club has been reading about morally suspect monsters of the Victorian era. Namely, the ones featured in the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as well as Sherlock Holmes and they're off to Edinburgh and London to immerse themselves in gothic architecture and Victorian Villains.
But when they get to the second half of the trip, Sera Popescu is shocked to realize that her boss, Nelle Storey, world-renowned mystery writer and owner of Gas Lamp Literary Tours is more interested in the mean streets of the Victorian East End than Soho, claiming the literature written by their spotlight authors is linked to the Ripper.
She even arranges for them to take a truly atmospheric route leading straight into the old, narrow alleyways and murder sites and locations related to the grisly murders. Unfortunately, somewhere between the Greyfriars Kirkyard and the Lyceum Theatre they become embroiled in an actual murder, and the details suspiciously coincide with the strange tale of Jekyll and Hyde.
