Book 7. Oh Say Can You...

Description:

Far across the Atlantic Ocean, a great pirate fleet was assembled. For the past several years, these pirates had looted the coastlines of the western European nations. Now they were turning their attention to American, and only the Peacekeepers could stop them. They plan to loot the natural resources and treasures of America. And they are coming with 5,000 ships that are armed to the teeth.

Review:

Good old military sci-fi. I found this series a couple of months ago and picked them all up for my kindle. Great reads for the price at that time. Story line keeps building and more factors come into play with the larger the Peacekeepers group becomes.

Book 8. The New Apocalypse.

Description:

It started in Mexico when a man found a silver metal briefcase on a beach. Thinking he'd found drugs being smuggled into the country, the man who found the vial of fluid inside the insulated attache case threw it down and broke it in disgust. He didn't notice the droplets of fluid that landed on his sandaled feet.

That man carried the cartel's plague back to his village where the latest strain of the flu was running rampant. The plague mutated, joining with the flu, thus becoming airborne. It had now become the deadliest plague the world had ever faced.

Soon, a flood of refugees headed north to escape the onslaught of the plague. They carried it with them into the Border States of America.

The peacekeepers face their greatest challenge to date as they race to save the human race from what is nothing short of The New Apocalypse.

Review:

True to form, Ricky Sides "The Peacekeepers" series just keeps getting better one volume after another. Once I start reading I can't seem to put the book down until it's finished. I just can't wait to see what happens next.
This is by far the best series I have ever read. Ricky Sides' talent for pulling you into the book along side the characters is amazing. I can hardly wait for book 9!!! If you haven't read any of the Peacekeeper books, I suggest you read just the first chapter of "The Birth of the Peacekeepers", the first of the series. I guarantee you will be hooked too!! Thank you Ricky.

Book 9. The Warlord.

Description:

As the plague ravaged America, the peacekeepers were forced to go into isolation to protect themselves from the dread disease. In the absence of the peacekeepers hundreds of outlaws flocked to the standard of a man forming an organization devoted to their annihilation.

To make matters worse, the world now blames the United States for the spread of the disease and rumors suggest an attack may be imminent.

This time the peacekeepers face a foe dedicated to their extermination. Soon the slogan, "Death to all Peacekeepers," is seen from the west to east coasts. Then it is found on a sign tied to a former peacekeeper at the scene of a massacre.

Review:

I have been reading the Peacekeeper Saga since almost the very beginning. I always look foreword to the next book coming out. I have yet to read one of Mr. Sides books that I did not enjoy. His character development is just enough to make the reader feel them coming to life without becoming bogged down with minutia. This latest installment was right on par with the previous books. It has moved chronologically foreword and is centered more on the next generation of Peacekeepers. Jim, Tim, Pol, and many of the original characters have moved to more supervisory positions. Evan, Lisa, and Ralph have become the more active characters. If you have enjoyed any of the previous books, you will most certainly enjoy this one.
