'A page-turning thriller from a crime writer who knows how to draw the reader in.' - Richard Foreman

Merk Shrober, a universally feared hit man, leaves his Swiss bolthole intending to tidy loose ends.

Four targets who had escaped death are playing on his mind and he travels to England to track them down.

Alan Holdain is a widowed father with no time for a private life. As a senior officer working for SIL at their London HQ, he is alerted that Shrober is on the move. His team rush to identify Shrober's possible targets. Four men living in the same area draw their attention.

Aided by his daughter, Shrober evades arrest in London and heads for the West Country.

A trail of deaths leads Holdain to follow Shrober to Devon and the chase begins.

Over the next four days, Shrober battles the weather and a determined Holdain to try and achieve his mission. Holdain races to reach the targets before Shrober whilst dealing with his unexpected feelings for another officer's wife.

Violence, deaths and foiled plans come to a dramatic climax.

But Holdain's battles are not over.
