The goal is simply to make it home in one piece. Everyone belongs somewhere. That’s a rule. The universe is a big place. If you can’t fit in, well, that’s a disease far more common than you think.
Was that my problem? Yes and no. Wrong didn’t come close to describing my existence, and yet, I was in it for the duration—no take backs, play it to the end, that sort of thing.
