(2019)
(The first book in the Pacific North Witches series)
A novel by

Escape to the Pacific Northwest, where magic and mountains meet murder and mayhem.

Down on her luck witch Althea "Ali" Everwood has big plans for her life in Mt. Rheanier, a sleepy mountain town in the paranormal world. It might be because her foot practically lives in her mouth, or because her habit of running headlong into every situation is better suited to a bull on steroids than a witch, but Ali just never manages to catch a break.

Her luck goes from bad to worse when she stumbles across the body of a murdered dragon shifter and then gets fired from her dead-end job in less than twenty-four hours. And things get even hairier when the family of her slain friend offers a reward. Every paranormal in town comes out of the woodwork to make some cash, including her eclectic seventy-something grandmother who isn't afraid to hex anyone who gets in her way - even her granddaughter. But all Ali wants is justice and she will stop at nothing to find the person responsible.

Thanks to some help from her whip-smart best friend Willow, Ali quickly hones in on a prime suspect, and is confident she's going to beat everyone to the punch, including the mysterious - and muscular - new enforcer in town. But the killer has other ideas, and the closer Ali gets to uncovering the truth, the closer she is to becoming the next victim.

Will Ali be able to solve the case before the killer puts a permanent end to her investigation?

Going Through the Potions is the first book in the Pacific North Witches series of humorous paranormal cozy mystery novels.
