Can love spring between two stubborn, determined people who are on two different paths?

Miss Jane Langford is excited about the opportunity to provide beautiful, hothouse blooms for an earl’s holiday to-do. Though travelling to the Derbyshire countryside is an inconvenience, she’s glad to showcase her skill in floral arrangements. It’s the last delivery on schedule, which means she can usher in the season with her family and the man her mother insists she marry. The fly in the ointment, however, is the bull-headed, objectionable, yet handsome earl.

Peregrine Landress, newly minted Earl of Holdcraft, is anxious this Christmastide season to show his family as well as friends, acquaintances, and tenant farmers that he is well and truly fit for the role. Wanting to be a better man than his father was, he hosts a house party to usher in the holidays. Despite his best laid plans, when the date comes due, he faces one troubling incident after another, least of which is an outspoken, curvy, and maddening florist.

When an unexpected snowstorm blows in and prohibits travel, Jane is stranded at Holdcraft Hall with a handful of quirky guests. While Peregrine grapples with his dread of Christmas as well as the sudden and quite annoying desire for the florist, she battles with the same attraction knowing a romance is impossible due to promises already made. They both underestimate the power of Christmastide magic—as well as his younger sister’s machinations—but an errant holiday miracle wouldn’t be remiss to grasp a romance for the ages.

One never knows what can be found once Christmas snow arrives.
