Annie's Kingdom

Annie Parsons was married off while she was working in service. Her husband Ted is charming but feckless, and Annie has struggled over the years to bring up her four boys. Tom has lost his sight, and he and his family find it difficult to adjust. Annie's eldest son, Stan, has never recovered from the tragedy of his wife's death, while Dick, her second child, has made an unhappy marriage. Gordon, the youngest, takes after his father.
