Just Right
Okay, so maybe I shouldn’t have broken into their house.

Maybe I shouldn’t have made myself at home and eaten through enough food for two people in twenty minutes.

But after being lost for half the day, I was hungry. And I needed their electricity to charge my phone so I could use the GPS to make it back to my car.

So, I did what I had to do. Besides, it didn''t look like anyone was home. I’d be gone in thirty minutes, tops. And I’d leave a note apologizing about the broken window.

Except, that food knocked me out. And when I woke up, it was with a gun to my head and three unnecessarily attractive men staring down at me. Naturally, I expect them to want answers and kick me out. Instead, I end up with a proposition.

Seeing Red
I was only in Bliss Peak to do two things:

1. See about my grandmother.
2. Write

I wasn’t supposed to get to this town and
show my ass. Literally.
But I could explain. There was a bat. In my shower. And the threat of rabies was enough to have me sprinting out of my cabin to my only neighbor’s house, with just my towel and suds covering my body.
My neighbor watched me run circles around his house before I could tell him what was wrong.
He was even nice enough to let me wait in his
house with a change of his clothes while he took
care of my bat problem.
Thankfully, it wasn’t even a bat.
But I still had a problem.
I’d come to these woods to write and now I was distracted. Because my neighbor had a roommate, and they invited me to dinner every night. Took care of me when I didn’t know I needed it.
And loved me through my grief.
I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with them. But I was learning that not everything went according to plan
