In the city where beauty and fashion define power, she’s the envy of everyone she meets.

Gia Anderson is the Art Director for a prestigious fashion magazine in New York City, living every woman’s dream. In a city run by models with unrealistic beauty standards and designers looking for their next break, Gia is successful, beautiful, and life couldn’t be better.

But all that changes on her 30th birthday.

Gia visits a fortune teller on a dare and learns something unbelievable. She’s the Goddess Freya, and she’s trapped in our world with no memories of her previous life. Laughing it off, Gia thinks nothing of it until fragments of her memories start returning, revealing everything she’s lost.

Separated from her beloved realm after suffering defeat against The Goddess of the Underworld, Gia is forced to relearn everything as her past and present lives collide. Though she longs to be reunited with her soul mate who remains in that realm, one thing becomes clear; while this world may be different to the one she’s from, the desire for power is the same. Only those strong enough to take it, come out victorious.

Confronted with the same darkness, Gia is forced to decide if she still believes in her original mission of maintaining the balance of good and evil. Through the help of her friends reacquainted with her magical gifts, Gia sets out to take on the final battle, even if it costs her everything.

The Devil Wears Prada meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer in this Hansl & Gretl retelling. Inspired by Norse Mythology, we follow Gia in this action packed dark urban fantasy, where darkness is everywhere you turn, but hope can be found where you least expect it. A classic story of good vs. evil, Gia will stop at nothing to defeat and vanquish the wicked forces that threaten this world, once and for all.
