Claws & Cover Ups
(2026)(The first book in the Werewolf Regulation Bureau Files series)
A novel by Tara Sterling
One werewolf cop. One human serial killer. One very stubborn happily ever after.
Nick
Detective Nicholas Harper is starting to suspect his city has a villain problem. Between hunting serial killers for the LAPD and monsters for the Werewolf Regulation Bureau, he should be focused on the latest string of murders. Somehow, every instinct leads him back to Dr. Elliot Rhodes, the chronically unimpressed human who saw a werewolf shift... and lied about it.
Nick planned to get answers. Instead, Elliot becomes the only thing that matters. And when the truth finally comes out, it''s already too late. Now Elliot is in danger. But Nick doesn’t share. He’ll tear the city apart to get Elliot back.
Elliot
Veterinarian by day. Killer of bad werewolves by night. A useless human before morning coffee. Elliot doesn’t have time for curious, annoyingly attractive detectives hovering around him. Especially werewolf ones.
But Nicholas makes saying no... difficult. Elliot has eyes. And needs. It was supposed to be casual. Just sex. No strings. Instead, Nicholas keeps making Elliot forget that monsters don't get happily ever afters. Too bad the past has a nasty habit of catching up.
Tags: a golden retriever werewolf, a black cat serial killing human, high heat, friends who show love by stealing Nick’s dog, a grumpy human who’s only cute before coffee (allegedly), an overworked secret werewolf agency, criminally good tech support for criminals, and hookups that definitely aren’t just hookups.
Nick and Elliot's story continues in Claws & Chaotic Commitments (out now!).
Genre: Gay Romance
