A massive Solar Flare hits the planet wiping out all modern electronics including all modes of transportation. The world begins to burn as civilization is stopped in its tracks.
Frantic with worry for her son and daughter in the care of their indifferent father, she decides to tackle the journey home on foot. Between her and home are the Rocky Mountains that she will have to cross.
The Journey will take every ounce of will and determination she has but not even a mountain range can compete against a mother’s love.

Lila Duncan fought her way over the Rocky Mountains to get back to her kids. She made it through the gruelling elevation changes of the mountains. Pushed through the injuries she sustained from her accident. Lived to tell the tale of a grizzly bear encounter and escaped from a raging forest fire to make it home.
Finding her kids missing and her home empty, Lila now has to change from being just a determined mother to something else. She will need to be a soldier, a mercenary, and be willing to cross any Line to get them back because she has to face her biggest challenge so far…a city that has descended into madness.

All Lila wants to do is get her kids far away from the city to her father’s farm where they can rest and be safe from the chaos that has consumed the world. She is shocked beyond belief by the changes he’s made to the property since she was last there for her mother’s funeral. Not only has her childhood home been completely changed but she arrives just as an old feud is kicked up into an all-out war.
There are family and community bridges that she will have to build and if that doesn’t work, she’ll not only set them on fire, she’ll blow the damn things up!
