Bloodline
(2026)(The second book in the Ross and Rosencrantz Mystery Thriller series)
A novel by Thomas Scott
A murdered man. A farmer who refuses to sell, and a conspiracy hidden beneath the dirt…
When a body is left on Carl Johnson’s farm as a gruesome warning, Sheriff Tom Rosencrantz knows the message is about much more than murder. Someone wants Johnson’s land, and they intend to get it…no matter the cost. But right from the beginning Rosencrantz learns that the price of Johnson keeping his land won’t be measured in dollars…it will be measured in blood.
As Ross and Rosencrantz follow the killer’s trail, a seemingly separate murder begins to connect with a much larger investigation already underway by Virgil Jones and the rest of the team at Wheeler, Mayo & Jones Investigations. Someone has spent years putting the pieces in place, and now all they need is Johnson’s land to make it happen…and they’re willing to kill to get it.
But buried beneath the money and corruption is something else—a score that has been waiting to be settled…because this was never only about Carl Johnson and his land. It’s also about bloodlines, and in the end, the case will become far more personal than Rosencrantz could have ever imagined.
Bloodline is a gripping new crime thriller in the Virgil Jones universe, packed with murder, corruption, dark humor, and the characters whom readers have come to know as family.
Genre: Mystery
