Ghosts aren't considered people, so the theft of Jae's former Army captain Richard isn't technically kidnapping, but that's not how Jae sees it. He's got to get Richard back before the kidnapper can break the bond between them and throw Richard into a prison of torturous isolation. Unfortunately, he's got no leads, and his only help is Richard's widow Desiree, a former bodyguard and recently turned werewolf, who might get in his way more than she helps. To make matters worse, the FBI is also chasing the kidnapper, but doesn't care about Richard and doesn't appreciate Jae's interference.
