Squaring the Circle is an account of the rise and fall of Solidarity in the form of a personal essay using the techniques of drama and the resources of film-making. It is an artistically imaginative interpretation of the political and social history of Poland during the period which saw the eclipse of Gierek, the rise of Solidarity and the advent of Jaruzelski.
