Book 1.5 in the Monsters of Moonfall Isle seriesAfter the battle at the end of Howling on the Bluff accidentally destroys Willoughby’s beloved pumpkin patch, only one pumpkin survives. One very important pumpkin, because it’s the only one Willoughby has left to enter in Moonfall Isle’s annual Fall Festival.

As if that weren’t enough to deal with, Randy wakes up to discover something else unexpected: he and Willoughby are mates.

Determined to please his new mate, Randy procures a spell from the island wizard meant to keep Willoughby’s last pumpkin safe until the festival. There’s just one problem.

Randy does the spell wrong.

Instead of simply protecting the pumpkin, the magic binds Randy and Willoughby together, making it impossible for them to move more than a few feet apart. And the longer the spell lasts, the more aggressive it becomes.

Unfortunately, magical proximity and a mating bond don't automatically make two people compatible. Randy’s fierce devotion to tradition, along with a few beliefs that should probably have been left in the past, soon has Willoughby questioning whether being mates means they actually belong together.

To break the spell, they only have to do one thing: keep that last pumpkin safe until Fall Festival day.

Simple, right?

Can Randy and Willoughby protect the pumpkin long enough to break the spell? And can Randy accomplish something that might be even harder?

Can one stubborn old leprechaun learn that sometimes, just like a pumpkin, you have to grow?
