The shadow of a solar eclipse brings out the worst in werewolves, turning them into ravening monsters. Only insanity or desperation would drive Luna to compete.

Part MMA championship, part Superbowl, the Penumbra fights hold no attraction for Luna. Sure, she's a great fighter, but those bastards are savage.

To the winner go the spoils; losers must submit to the winning alpha, giving up position and all possessions to the winner. Luna isn't interested in possessions or accolades; her hidden talent for magic keeps her, her family, and her pack in comfort.

Then Luna's business requires her to make a deal with the current champion, Donovan Molotok.

A simple negotiation to allow her pack to work in his pack's territory turns deadly. An imagined slight sets Van to attack. In seconds, Luna is overcome.
