The Hacked Match

(2024)
A Novella by

Aubrey Lowen has been tasked by her FBI boss to do the impossible. She’s to pave the way for reformed hacker, Seth Lawrence, to assist the government in breaking into the system of a company that he once did time for. Her mission is to charm him at a Vegas security convention. She’s an asthmatic geeky consultant, not a super spy. On the other hand, she's always had a thing for the man.

Seth had once been known as Savage Lynx, but now he’s just a small business owner, specializing in keeping out hackers, much like himself. He doesn’t expect much excitement or intrigue at the convention—until a beautiful woman, who speaks his language, shows up at a panel and shoots his concentration to pieces. Aubrey Lowen is full of mysteries, and Seth would like to know them all. Love is the greatest hack of his lifetime, but he’s willing to risk what remains of his heart.

The Hacked Match is a quirky contemporary romance novella with a HEA, no cheating, and a sexy-sweet heat level. The Hacked Match features clever banter, a retired hacker, a Vegas convention, and two awkward nerds falling in love. It also has plenty of geeky references, in case you’re a fan.

If you like romances between weirdos, moments that make you laugh loud enough to scare your pet, and, of course, a happily ever after, you’ll love The Hacked Match, a contemporary rom-com novella.

The Hacked Match was originally published in the anthology, Covalent Bonds, which is no longer available. It's been newly polished, but its charm and setting in 2015 remain.
