Being leopard shifters puts us with the elite. All but untouchable. But in our world, that’s a dangerous game. So, when we hear our father is in over his head, we make it our mission to get him out. Only, things don’t go quite as we planned. But do they ever?

The assignment was simple: get in, make contact, and get out. The goal: to release their hold on my father. They needed him, though, and because of that, things got sticky.

When I say sticky, I mean the worst kind of sticky.

The bloody kind.

In the process, we piss off a very powerful man and accidentally get his daughter killed. Left standing in a room full of bodies, it's time to get out of dodge, and take the only bargaining chip we have with us. A nameless woman that somehow has something to do with it all.

Thorne Bay, Alaska. A town I heard about in passing, and one that might just be our saving grace. The last place on Earth anyone would think to look for someone like us and enough to buy us time. More so because we joined the local logging crew, blending in with the people around us.

I made one fatal mistake, though. The woman I kidnapped to use as leverage was not who I thought she was. When all is said and done, one way or another, I fear she will be the death of me.
