Her fairy tale began with a villain’s kiss.
I’m a dark beast, an enforcer for the infamous King family. I gleefully take out any mafia goons who dare to mess with my crew. No one has ever tried to get close to me; my enemies would kill them if I ever showed that kind of weakness.
But I fall in love anyway… with a shy bookstore employee who can’t know I exist.
I find Noemi while doing recon for the Kings. She’s soft and pretty, with a sassy mouth and a smile that ruins me. I know what I am, the nightmare hiding under her bed. So I keep my distance: I follow her home, break in when she isn't there, and watch from the shadows to make sure she's safe from everyone. Everyone except me.
When my pretty girl vanishes, I will stop at nothing to find her. Rumor says she’s drugged and will be sold at a Sleeping Beauty auction to the highest bidder.
I'll burn this city to the ground to bring her home.
The part I haven't worked out is what happens after… when she wakes up furious, demanding to know why she's now captive to the monster who's loved her all along.
