Mark McLaren didn't believe in miracles. No God had intervened to save his single engine airplane from having to ditch in the Montana wilderness. But while Mark and his two daughters and a young woman passenger -- a "religious fanatic," he called her -- were trying to survive until rescued, some very strange things were happening.
Being stranded in the wilderness was certainly not Katie Reed's idea of how to get over her broken engagement. She had hoped the weekend retreat would do that. What purpose could God possibly have for thrusting her into the life of this volatile little family with their troubled past and broken relationships? And how could having to clean fish, sleep on the ground and escape from hungry bears be part of God's plan?
