Strange accidents are stalking the skaters at Scarborough's Millwood Arena. At first it's just a falling ladder that narrowly misses top skater Paula, but soon the dirty tricks become much worse. Everyone is on edge, including Angie, Paula's main rival for a medal. Angie knows she's not to blame, but some of the skaters think otherwise. She doesn't like playing detective, but soon realizes that catching the real culprit is the only way to clear her name. Set against a background of intense figure skating competition, A Stroke of Luck is the story of young athletes who overcome very different obstacles in order to succeed, on the rink and off.
