Christmas isn’t meant to be spent alone.

After her mother abandons her, Lena Davis finds herself living in a small room at the Building—safe, provided for … and utterly alone.

With Christmas drawing near, she turns to her favorite annual read, A Christmas Carol. She identifies with Scrooge, alone in her room. Except she isn’t an old miser. She’s a poor girl. Without a family. Not at all like Scrooge.

As she notices happy families surrounding her in town, she also begins to realize that she’s not the only one carrying loneliness this season.

This Christmas, Lena must decide: stay hidden in her own story, or take a chance to spread hope to someone else.

A heartfelt Christian historical story set in the Kentucky mountains during the Great Depression. Featuring faith themes and quotes from A Christmas Carol and Little Women.
