A Prayer Beneath the Mountain
(2026)(The first book in the Nine Seals series)
A novel by Ardis Thorne
There is a mountain where God still speaks. His voice moves through the wind and the stone, through the faithful who’ve built their lives in His shadow.
The Order calls it holy. Kyler calls it home.
Raised beneath the ice and silence, he was taught that obedience is salvation. His father—the High Priest—commands him to take a wife from the world below. Obedience becomes Kyler’s first sin. The woman he drags up the mountain, Macksine, doesn’t bow or break. Her defiance shatters his belief, cracks the foundation of the Order, and wakes something ancient beneath the frozen rock.
Vale, Kyler’s brother in faith, stands beside him as their vows collapse. Together, they flee the sealed valley, chasing freedom through snow and fire. But the god they tried to abandon hasn’t stopped following—patient, unseen, and hungry.
In a landscape of cold devotion and quiet ruin, three lost souls will learn the truth of their covenant:
prayers don’t die—they hunt.
The Nine Seals — a haunting debut from Ardis Thorne, where faith burns, love destroys, and nothing holy stays buried.
Genre: Historical Romance
