Mandan Mesa

Hezekiah Strong was beginning to despair of finding a place where he could settle with his drovers and cattle. Then he came across Mandan Mesa, an enormous plateau. But by the time he realised that he shared his paradise with Crow Indians, he had already settled. Then there was a full-scale attack and Hezekiah and two of his men were wounded. But having found the cattleman's paradise, Hezekiah knew that, alive or dead, he would stay.
