Many terrible things have happened at Margrave Heights, the notorious South London tower block, but perhaps the most awful story of all is the tale of the man who ate his own head.

Victor Robinson has lived in flat 175 for decades. Now that his wife is gone, Victor struggles to maintain his independence while spending his days thinking back over his long and disappointing life. He always wanted to be a fancy chef, but he never got the chance. Now, though, Victor has come up with an idea.

Across the hall, Andy and Kerry live with their mother. Facing a life of failure and seeing no way out, they've resigned themselves to their fates. And then Andy starts to notice Victor's strange behaviour, and he sets out to discover just why the old man seems to be getting weaker and weaker with each passing day.

By the time the truth comes out and the police are called, Margrave Heights will have witnessed one of its most shocking days yet and young Andy will have been forced to make a terrible decision.
