(2026)
A novel by

Eight contestants. One underground experiment. No way out.

Brett Harker never expected to be chosen for Habitat Challenge, the world's most ambitious reality competition. Built deep beneath a mountain, the HouseCave was designed to test whether ordinary people could survive in a fully self-contained environment.

For Brett, the prize money could save his grandfather's life.

For the other contestants, it could solve problems they can't escape on their own.

At first, the competition feels exactly as advertised.

Then the visions begin.

Strange voices echo through abandoned tunnels. Contestants disappear. Surveillance systems fail. And the deeper Brett digs into the HouseCave's history, the more he becomes convinced that the facility was never built to study human survival.

It was built on top of something.

Something that should have stayed buried.

As fear spreads through the HouseCave, Brett discovers that the contestants weren't chosen at random—and that winning the game may be the least of their concerns.

Because something else was already inside.

And it has been waiting for them.
