A novel by

Summer is filled with surprises...

The boys at Valentine House School are eagerly awaiting tomorrow, ready for the start of summer.

Young Richard Thorpe is only returning home to Charters in the Somerset village of Somerford St. Hugh - hardly a place for far-flung adventure.

But he is excited nonetheless to be reunited with his dear sister Amaryllis, his bank-manager father Matthew and their horse Banshee.

Life has not always been kind to the Thorpes, but surely nothing can hurt them in peaceful Somerset...

The town remains just as Richard remembered it.

Except for some unfamiliar faces...

The landlord of the pub, Len and his peevish and scheming wife Gwen, are new in town and causing the most drama, so far only having made the acquaintance of travelling brush salesman, Norman Coburg.

That is until tragedy strikes the Thorpe family once again when Richard vanishes without a trace.

Piers Linley, Fleet Street reporter with a conscience, is first on the scene.

Together with the beguiling Amaryllis, they search for her brother, in what soon becomes a nationwide manhunt, leading to distant shores.

New relationships emerge from the misfortune to offer solace - but where is Richard?

Whither Do You Wander? is an emotive and intriguing tale filled with mystery and suspense.
