The Frame Game

(2023)
(Book 16 in the Tomb Collective series)
A Novella by

Debonaire, Casanova, Romeo, Don Juan, Lothario... are all words that Jupe Madison and his clients would use to describe his persona. Sleuth, investigator, murderer...not so much.

While out on an average first date with a new client, Jupe suddenly finds himself at the epicentre of a real life cat and mouse chase surrounding the murder of a young, unidentified woman.

His good friend Mark, an ex-cop turned private investigator, discovers a dead body in the front seat of his car and comes to Jupe for help. Someone is trying to frame Mark and he doesn’t know why or who. By bringing Jupe into his mess, Mark has unwittingly made his friend an accessory after the fact. Or, at least that’s what the police will think if they catch up with them before they can solve the murder.

When the private eye calls in a favor with a beautiful forensics expert, they put her in jeopardy, too. But as the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place, Mark and Jupe quickly come to realize that the killer is more closely tied to them than they could have ever imagined.

Alex helps them discover that the victim is a former client of Jupe’s and the motive behind the killing suddenly hits a little too close to home. Together, this trio of unlikely crime fighters must solve the murder of a beautiful blonde before they either end up in prison… or dead.

If they are to stop the madman from killing again, the three will have to resort to some rather unorthodox investigative tactics. But if they can get to the answers fast enough, they just might save the lives of the killer’s next targets.
