A brand new Shorty Thompson adventure from Paul L. Thompson!

Shorty stepped down from the train in Calgary, Canada. He was tired to the bone after switching trains five times and sitting on a hard seat for twelve days with little or no sleep for over two thousand miles.

The Canadian Government had let the United States come all the way to Calgary after Nathanial Grossmont. This man had escaped prison in Canon City, Colorado and gone back and killed the judge who sentenced him, as well as the judge’s wife.

Shorty’s orders from Captain Hardesty was to bring Nathanial Grossmont back to Colorado alive at all costs. This man must be hung for what he has done and never given the chance to escape again. Four guards were knocked out and left lying in a field. “Shorty, Judge Ryder and his wife, Francine, would be alive today if only he had hung Grossmont to start with.”
