You’d think the worst thing that happened to me was being abducted from college by aliens. But no. The icing on the cake is I’ve contracted a debilitating disease, and I’ll be dead in the next couple months.
Unless I get the vaccine.
It won’t do me any good to convince the Quasar aliens to take me home to Earth. I’d just end of giving the virus to everyone there. As soon as Bren the Captain realizes our dilemma, they contact their planet’s Council to arrange for the vaccine.
But the Quasar Council wants a ten-year commitment from me and my friends!
Ten years of being poked and prodded and studied… or die. Since their men are mating to other Earth women—something that hasn’t happened to their kind in thousands of years—they want to study why. The Quasars have nano technology in their bodies, and they’d assumed the matings dying out were an evolutionary eventuality.
But was it? Because now they say they’ve located my mate on Quasar. Despite my skepticism, I’m intrigued. They’ve assured me he’s waiting for me.
Will having him there make the years of being studied tolerable? Do I really have a choice?
