This story takes place in Arizona after an EMP or CME has shut down the whole power grid and rendered most vehicles inoperable. The story is centered around a man with no home and no friends who eventually finds both along with a lot of pain and heartbreak along the way. It is a story of how a will to overcome obstacles and some common sense can mean all the difference.
