Bill was more than half way home from a long road trip when a very powerful solar CME struck the earth. The solar storm destroyed almost everything electrical that man had made. Still hundreds of miles from his home Bill started walking in that direction with almost no hope of his continued survival in this drastic situation. Can he even make it home? Daily they wondered if there had been a nuclear war. They lived a long way from any likely nuclear targets. Did it even matter what caused the loss of services? Not really and now all their time and energy had to be focused on their survival.
