When an awful pandemic sweeps across the world killing the bulk of the human population one man who has no one and does not care whether he lives through the pandemic or not, does survive. Alone he wonders why he of all people survives when so many with loving families did not. Then he finds a purpose to his life when finds and befriends a little girl.
