Shuttle Down!
While surveying an alien world, Commodore Carter Maxwell's shuttle is wrecked, forced down in an endless icy wasteland inhabited by deadly beasts and savage barbarians, and is forced to fight for his life as he struggles across the desolate landscape to reach the one site where he might find rescue, a cluster of strange ruins in a hidden valley in the heart of a distant mountain range, infested with vicious predators and treacherous assassins alike.
In orbit, Lieutenant-Major Nick Ryder must lead his crew into battle with their own ship, the stolen Eudoxus, which is now under the command of a mysterious group calling itself the Liberty League, one that has vowed vengeance against Maxwell and Ryder for crimes they are believed to have committed. With a task force from the Commonwealth on the way, a strange network of alien moons in orbit, and a ship crewed by renegades desperate for his death, Ryder must use all his skills to simply survive, to rescue his commander and unlock the secrets that lie buried deep within the depths of this world...
