It was only by the help of three renegade knights Nolan and Monica met on the battlefield that they were able to stay together.
Each of them joined the knights for their own reasons. They claimed to be loyal only to their party and despised Sebastian for his nefarious ways.
Still, Nolan doesn’t trust them. His sister, however, feels differently.
Regardless of their views, the knights have taken them under their wing to hone their skills while unknowingly empowering Nolan to make the ultimate choice when the time comes.
For now, Nolan and Monica’s path to power has taken them on the road to Darenhelm, the city of the strong, where they plan to obtain their Questing Licenses without Sebastian’s knowledge.
The exam is notably more difficult than Empervia’s, and death is a real possibility, but the siblings are more than ready for what trials await them.
It’s the first step towards the future they envision, and one of the many ordeals they must face along the way.
