I’m kind of obsessed with the kind of love that doesn’t come easy — the messy, real, break-you-open kind. Most of the guys in my books? Yeah… they’ve got baggage. They’re quiet, a little wrecked, definitely not sending good morning texts. But that’s the point. Their fears, their pain, their “don’t get too close” energy? That’s where a lot of me lives.

Writing is how I make sense of all that stuff. It’s how I let those messy parts breathe a little.

And then… there’s her. The woman who doesn’t try to fix him, but somehow sees everything. She’s not magic, but she is the shift. The reason he starts to hope again. The crack where the light gets in.

These stories? They’re my way of saying: you’re not too broken. You’re not too much. And yes — you still get to believe in love.
