She works alone. He’s pack. This was always going to be complicated.
Sable Reyes has spent six years as an independent jaguar bounty hunter — no clowder, no pack, no obligations beyond the job and her own extremely good judgment. She has a system. The system works. She was not expecting to collide with a wolf at dawn over a rogue case they’d both been tracking.
Finn Ashford is the Hollow Ridge Pack Enforcer. He’s been told he’s ‘too intense’ his whole life and has long since decided that’s someone else’s problem. He is methodical, contained, and completely unprepared for a jaguar who treats his intensity as mildly interesting data rather than a warning sign.
They catch the rogue. They’re forced to share a safe house for eighteen hours. Finn makes the coffee at exactly the right strength without asking how she takes it.
Sable starts a list.
Finn starts one too.
Over the next year, they build something neither of them planned: the Pacific Range Coalition, an early intervention network for shifter communities in crisis — and, at the same time, something slower and more complicated than either of them know how to name. Finn knows what his wolf is telling him. Sable has the evidence. She just needs to follow it to the conclusion.
Claws Out is a full-length paranormal romance about two people who are both very good at working alone discovering that the right company is nothing like the wrong company, a found family pack who has opinions about everything, and a mate bond that expresses differently when one of you is a jaguar who doesn’t take anyone’s word for anything — including fate’s.
Expect: Slow burn and then more slow burn. Dual POV. Sharp, quiet banter between two people who are both paying attention. A found family pack who will meddle with great competence. A work project that is also a love story that is also the right thing to do.
Content: This book contains mild sexual content, adult language, and violence. HEA guaranteed.
Book Two of the Hollow Ridge Pack Series. Can be read as a standalone. Reading Book One first adds depth but is not required.
