He's been seeing her for six months. She doesn't believe in any of it. She has a dataset.
Remy Voss is a seer. He knows what's coming before it arrives — the shape of things, the
approach of things, the things the gift decides are significant enough to show him. In March, the
gift shows him a woman laughing at numbers at his family's archive table. He has no context for
her. He has the vision five times. He notes: personal investment flag, active.
He waits.
Darcy Mercer is an accountant from Edinburgh. She reviews the Blackwood Pack's financial
accounts twice a year, applies a very effective Sunday arrival system, and has been perfectly
comfortable being adjacent to this world her entire life. Adjacent is manageable. Adjacent has a
framework.
Then she finds a miscoded cost allocation that has propagated through six months of
downstream accounts with impeccable internal consistency. She laughs.
The man across the archive room goes very still.
He already knew she was going to laugh.
Darcy Mercer does not believe in fated bonds, vision loops, or sternum things. She does believe
in empirical evidence. When Remy offers her access to the seer records — a hundred and fifty
years of documented visions with an 88% confirmation rate and a built-in bias acknowledgment
system — she reads them.
She's in the records.
She's been in the records since March.
THE SEER'S STUBBORN WOLF is a slow burn paranormal romance about a seer who has been
patient for nine months and a woman who required a dataset before she could admit she'd been
paying attention. It contains: one vision loop, two notebooks of accumulated evidence, an
academic paper on human mate documentation, and a sternum thing that was present from the
first Tuesday and is not going to diminish with distance.
⚠ Contains explicit content, very precise notation, and one accountant who corrected the record
a year later because the entry was imprecise.
Standalone HEA. Part of the Blackwood Pack Series.
