I had been a park ranger for years, and it was an okay life. I wasn’t particularly close with anyone, but I got to spend my days outdoors, and I was the hero hikers needed when they were lost or injured in the woods.
That all changed when I fell through a massive hole and ended up in another world.
As if that wasn’t crazy enough, within minutes of my arrival, I encountered a group of bandits attacking an old man, who was just trying to protect a clutch of baby dragons.
I wasn’t able to save the old man, but I could honor his dying request.
I would protect the dragons he gave his life for and take over his ranch.
