The universe gave him a character sheet. He hadn't read one since 2004.

Joe Santos was a washed-up Latino child star at forty, five-foot-nothing, with frozen accounts and a memory palace built entirely on bad decisions. Then he fell into a cenote in Mexico and didn't come back.

Now he's stranded in the Sunlands, a world running on magic called Resonance, bonded to a fire-wielding Dragonborn woman, and told he's the rarest thing in existence: a Five-Tone Catalyst. The world needs him to wake a Diamond Dragon and stop a coming catastrophe. Joe just needs to figure out how to be worth something before his memories of Earth fade entirely.

Diamond Dragon Series contains unconventional adult relationships, cannabis use, and a depiction of childhood grooming that is addressed directly by the narrative (not shown graphically). It features violence, character death, grief, and memory loss as a plot mechanic. Romantically, expect a slow burn between two or more people who are functionally terrible at feelings. This is book one of a series and ends on a setup, not a resolution.
