I never thought I’d be a caretaker for a recently blinded man, but I’m prepared to show him that I’m phenomenal at this job… or at least adequate. I’m thrilled for a chance to turn my life around, yet the moment I meet Lane, I realize that this man is going to try his very best to make me quit.

Lane is depressed, rude, and difficult to be around. But I soon discover that what Lane needs isn’t a caretaker, it’s a person to treat him like he used to be treated. And I might be just the man for the job… until I get attacked.
Someone wants to keep Lane quiet, and staying by his side won’t be easy… but I’m willing to fight for it (and show off that I’m not above stealing a thing or two to accomplish that). Even if it involves kidnapping, pew pews, and some overwhelmingly bad ideas, I will do just about anything because Lane is there for me unlike anyone else has ever been. I might be out of my element, but one thing I’m sure about is that I don’t want to leave Lane… even if it costs me my life.
