Death on Brighton Beach
(2025)(The first book in the Sussex Mystery series)
A novel by L H Brace and D E White
Brighton, 1963: By day, Ruby Baker works at a hairdressing salon with her best friend, Mary. By night, she enjoys the party lifestyle of Sixties Brighton, and a fledgling romance with a local newspaper reporter.
After rumours of a stalker threaten the party girls, Ruby finds herself unwittingly drawn into a web of intrigue and revenge.
When a girl is found dead on Brighton beach, Ruby decides to investigate. But can she solve the mystery, whilst also keeping her friends safe?
Based on an original concept by D.E. White.
"This book is brilliantly written, I enjoyed that it was set in the early 60s so there could be no reliance on smart phones, internet, DNA etc. I felt this made it so much more of a mystery. The twists just kept on coming right up to the end. Highly enjoyable and I thoroughly recommend this book."
‘A fun mystery book with plenty of twists and turns which kept me guessing until the end.’
‘This book grabs you from the start wondering what has happened in the past. Took me straight back to my 60s childhood!"
‘Great book. Brilliant plot and main characters, especially Ruby. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.’
‘Would I recommend this book? Hands down, yes! It’s ideal for those readers who crave a little rush but don’t want the gory details to keep you up at night.’
Please note this book was previously published as part of the Ruby Baker Mysteries
Genre: Cozy Mystery
