Slaves to Magic: A Tale of Alus (Tales of Alus)
(2017)(A book in the Tales of Alus: Slaves to Magic series)
A novel by Donald Wigboldy
Alus is a world full of magic. While some nations celebrate it, others can only fear it. In Argus, magic is hated so much that a special group has trained just to deal with the young, out of control wizards known as wilders.
Wizard hunter Peter was raised to hate magic like most of the people of Argus, but his career path and beliefs are challenged when he captures the wilder, Aurora. Bonded and thrown together, Peter finds himself in charge of the new wizard as she is trained to become a weapon for the kingdom. Told that magic users are evil, he soon finds the sweet nature of the girl hard to justify with everything he has been taught. Unsure if he likes her or if Aurora's magic might have enchanted him, Peter is torn between wanting to hate magic and liking the person who is cursed to have it.
