In return, she had never met a more attentive, creative, and fun person to push her outside her comfort zone to new adventures around each bend.

The Village at Crossroad Corners is a tight-knit, traditional, community and a snapshot from the time before technology and big commerce became a mainstay in American culture. The community is rocked when the village council makes the shocking decision to allow a developer to build a dual-aged, residential community, that will house both the elderly and college aged students in a connecting network of buildings. It is an ambitious multi-generational plan, where students and retirees will learn to work together for each other’s benefit. As the development takes shape, new love, fresh starts, and brighter futures all take shape in ways that people never expected.

Travis was driving for a bus company when it became involved in an accident and he and other passengers were injured. After being laid up and off the job for a while, he decided to try and find a way to engage people in this quaint little town. Upon arriving at Legacy Crossroads to volunteer he met Alicia, the new Certified Nursing Assistant on staff, and sparks began to fly. The more he engaged, the less getting back on the road appealed to him. Will this be his fresh start?

Alicia wants a peaceful life away from the craziness of her last role, which ended with the loss of two patients. She wasn't on call the night of the incident but got pulled into the mess due to her friendship with the perpetrator. Getting involved with Travis appears to be a bad idea as he has an angry mob close on his heels.
