Veiled Souls

Snazzy and smart, Vic Doyle has no idea her inner warrior is about to be unleashed. After walking through a time portal that whisks her away to Medieval Scotland, she meets the mysterious Boyd Gunn, a Falisa Guild Master. Learning of the ancient battle between the Angui and the Falisa from Boyd, Vic has no doubts that the Angui are the bad guys. With no other information before her whirlwind adventure began, she may help the Falisa end the battle once and for all by revealing plans for concocting the Cipher's Kiss.

As an Angui agent operating undercover within the Falisa, Malcolm Gunn recognizes Vic as one of the Angui women sent back from the future. He will have to earn her trust before convincing her to get on the right side of the war. If he can't and she remains loyal to the Falisa, he'll not only blow his cover but also destroy any chance he has of winning her heart. What her role in the centuries old war will be remains a mystery, and one Malcolm will have to unravel before it's too late.
