To Jacqui, just out from England, Australia was a real 'land of dreams' - and the most dreamlike was the Outback. Some people might have found it too large and empty, but when Jacqui went to work as a governess at Kiah station, she loved it from the first moment. It was not long before she realised that she loved Alain Hollington, her employer, too - but that was where Jacqui's dreams did not look like coming true!
