Welcome to Whittlecombe, a picturesque village tucked away from prying eyes. At its heart sits Wonky Inn, run by Alfhild "Alf" Daemonne—a witch whose spells are less "abracadabra" and more "oops-a-daisy." With her wise (but occasionally judgemental) owl familiar, Mr Hoo, Alf’s life is a charming blend of magical mishaps, quirky chaos and delightfully deadly mysteries.
In The Wonkiest Witch, Alf inherits Wonky Inn—only for a dead body to appear on the patio. Now she must use every scrap of her wonky magic to catch a killer disturbingly close to home.
In The Ghosts of Wonky Inn, restless spirits invade Alf’s halls, while Weird Wedding at Wonky Inn brings vampires, secrets and a wedding where keeping bloodshed off the menu could prove tricky.
Dark predictions threaten Whittlecombe in Fearful Fortunes and Terrible Tarot, and The Mystery of the Marsh Malaise sees villagers falling ill, Alf’s fiancé disappearing and something wicked rising from the marsh.
Then a renovation uncovers a skeleton hidden inside the inn’s walls in The Mysterious Mr Wylie. Who was the victim, why were they hidden there, and what does the mysterious Mr Wylie know?
Things get sweeter—and deadlier—in The Great Witchy Cake Off. Alf invites her favourite baking show to film at Wonky Inn, only for a contestant to turn up dead. With Florence the ghost entering the competition, solving murder should be a piece of cake. Shouldn’t it?
In Vengeful Vampire at Wonky Inn, Alf’s least favourite guests return. An unsolved vampire murder sends her all the way to Transylvania, where Count Grigor and his coven are waiting.
Then several dozen elderly witches—both living and dead—descend upon the inn in A Gaggle of Ghastly Grandmamas. Add unruly familiars, an elevator with a mind of its own and a witch found dead in The Snug, and Alf has another magical mess on her hands.
Finally, Witchywood comes to Whittlecombe in Magic, Murder and a Movie Star. When superstar actress Medea Toulouse is poisoned, two of the world's biggest movie stars become suspects. Murder, movies and magical mayhem... just another ordinary stay at Wonky Inn.
Paranormal cozy readers will adore:
• A delightfully quirky heroine with wonderfully wonky magic.
• Mr Hoo—the wise and decidedly judgemental owl.
• Witches, ghosts, vampires, wizards and eccentric villagers.
• Cozy English village charm, supernatural mysteries and laugh-out-loud chaos.
• Ten magical mysteries in one wonderfully wonky collection.
Ten books. One wonky witch. One opinionated owl. And an inn where murder simply refuses to check out.
Perfect for readers who love Nancy Warren, Amanda M. Lee, Annabel Chase, Erin Johnson and Adele Abbott.
