Designing the resort near Springs Brooke was turning out to be more of a chore than just design.

After James’ betrayal both professionally and personally, this design will be my come back, my redemption.
I'm marking the third boundary point when the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. That unmistakable feeling of being watched.
I slowly turn, expecting to see a curious local, maybe even a ranger questioning why I'm here. What I don't expect is the massive white bear standing at the edge of the tree line, completely still, eyes locked on mine.
Holy. Shit.
We lock eyes, and for a moment—a weird, impossible moment—I feel like I'm being assessed, not hunted.

What is she doing here and what makes her think those stakes she's putting in the ground are even going to be still there by morning.
Why does everyone think this is a great place to build something! Beautiful views and amazing wildlife. No pun intended.
