Series note: KiT! is also published in multi-book compilation editions.
Kit Calder’s mother has found the perfect man for her.
Kit’s answer is immediate.
No.
Then she meets Owen Callahan.
Unfortunately, her mother may have a point.
Owen is handsome, intelligent, funny, kind to waiters, interested in Kit’s work without being threatened by it, and somehow capable of taking instructions without turning them into a debate.
Worse, Kit actually likes him.
One dinner becomes another. Attraction becomes kissing. And somewhere between dates, One More Chair commentary, and a small mystery that keeps pulling Kit back into investigator mode, the joke about her mother’s ‘perfect man’ starts becoming uncomfortably real.
There is no secret wife.
No hidden villain.
No terrible personality waiting to emerge.
Owen really is a good man.
Which leaves Kit with a much harder question:
What if someone can be right for you on paper, and you still don’t want the future everyone else can already see?
MY MOTHER’S PERFECT MAN is a bright, funny New York mystery about dating, family interference, unexpected chemistry, and learning that liking someone is not the same as owing them forever.
